Schools Out
I thought this day would never get here but SCHOOL IS FINALLY OUT!! I am ready to enjoy summer break with the girls. I spent last summer working on school work (accreditation and I was taking a graduate class) so we didn't get to do many "fun" things. This summer I am looking forward to just being a mommy and spending some quality time with my girls!!

Nicole
Last Friday Nicole graduated from Preschool. It is so hard to believe that my baby is growing up! I did OK with the whole idea of Nikki graduating and starting kindergarten until the night before her graduation and then I got a little sad. Nicole wanted to know why I was a little sad...Chris told her that I was sad because she was growing up. Nicole responded by saying, "Mommy, sometimes life just goes that way." Oh the wisdom of a five year old! As part of graduation, Nicole dressed up like a rock star (aka Hannah Montana) and then they had a traditional graduation ceremony.

Alison
A few week ago, Alison had her annual piano recital. She did a great job playing her pieces from memory. While she was playing she actually looked like she was having a great time. This is AMAZING because this year has really been a battle as far as piano goes. Alison loves to play but she does NOT like to practice. She gets very frustrated when she can't play a piano piece perfectly the first time she attempts it. This year in addition to the trophy that the students are usually awarded (I think Alison got a trophy for just making it through the year) Alison received a trophy for receiving a superior rating at the piano festival at ETSU for three years in a row...yeah!!
